Are the courses at Katrina’s School of Hairdressing government registered and will my qualifications be nationally recognized?

Katrina’s School of Hairdressing Brisbane/Morayfield and Townsville is a Registered Training Organisation. The qualifications we issue are therefore nationally recognized.

Can I pay my course fees up frount and is there any incentive to do this?

Yes, course fees can be paid for up front and there is a generous incentive offered to students who take this option.

How will I be assessed on the course?

You will be assessed continuously during your course through a variety of written and practical tasks such as assignments, weekly quizzes, theory and practical exams.

Can I apply for any Centrelink payments while studing?

Yes, you can apply for assistance such as Austudy if studying a full time course.

Does the school have a fee payment plan?

Yes, we do offer students a monthly payment plan. Details are discussed at your first interview. We highly recommend that students seek the option of a student tertiary loan from the National Bank as they offer students weekly and deferred payment options.

Will there be any extra costs I need to pay apart from my course fees?

At Katrina’s School of Hairdressing Brisbane/Morayfield and Townsville, we provide you with everything you will require during your course studies. There are no hidden course costs. This is important to consider when comparing schools as many schools have several hidden costs such as uniforms fees and kit fees etc.

Is there free parking available at the school?

Yes, one of the benefits of our Brisbane/Morayfield and Townsville school locations is the availability of ample parking for our students. Not having to pay parking fees is a big saving.

Do I have to purchase any text books to complete the course?

No, Katrina’s School of Hairdressing provides students with extensive theory resources in beautifully bound folders. The full colour, industry relevant manuals remain yours to keep and are a great reference to have throughout you career.

Do I have to arrange my own models for practicing skills?

No, we advertise for clients to attend the schools student salon. This allows students ample opportunity to practice their skills. We do recommend you encourage your friends and family to become clients of the Student Clinic for your benefit.

Do I need to have an Apprenticeship with a salon to enroll in these courses?

No, our Certificate II course is considered a great pre-apprenticeship course or a basic introduction to the hair industry enabling you to gain work as a “tea and tidy”. Our Certificate III courses is equivalent to completing an Apprenticeship in Hairdressing.
